Many people think, “I run a small business, why do I need registration?” But in reality, this certificate gives you the power that large companies possess: Bank Loans Facilities If you go to a bank without registration, getting a loan is difficult. But with the Udyam certificate, banks provide you with loans under Priority Sector Lending. This means the bank is obligated to give you a loan, and that too at a lower interest rate. Key to Government Tenders The government purchases goods and services worth crores of rupees every year. According to the rules, the government is mandated to procure a portion of its purchases from small businesses (MSMEs). If you have this certificate, you can participate in these large tenders. MSME Samadhaan (Payment Security) The biggest problem for small businesses is “credit.” If you have supplied goods to a large company and they haven’t paid you for 45 days, you can file a complaint through the government’s ‘MSME Samadhaan’ portal using this certificate. Electricity Bill: Many states offer concessions on electricity bills for factories.
